It’s almost the end of the season, and we hope you’re getting a BIG harvest. But how do you make sure you harvest every last one of those zucchini, and encourage your plants to keep giving for as long as possible? And once you have a mountain of cucumbers and tomatoes, what do you do with them? Some things can be stored dry, and others canned, while others make great jams and sauces!
Harvest and Storage is the sixth of a 7 workshop interactive series that takes us through the growing season month-by-month. We’ll talk about some harvest techniques, methods of preserving, and what to do with all that food! We’ll cover this and more, with pre-recorded content and a 1.5 hour live discussion call on all things Harvest and Storage!
Dyeing with plants is an incredible art form. It is a way to put forth our love and efforts to restore harmony back to the earth. We see that any small effort to help to reduce the effects of pollution in the world today can go a long way. This is a devotional creative approach to natural dyeing, with the hope of using it as a sadhana to deepen our bond to the Divine Mother.

As we meander into the long, hot days of midsummer, many of our plants are now well established. It’s a great time to hone our skills in caring for the plants and garden. Victoria, with decades of professional organic growing experience and a degree in Ornamental Horticulture, will guide us to refine our methods of understanding the signals we get from our plants, and share ways to let the garden itself teach us how to water, prune, harvest, and do succession planting.
Relationship with Plants is the fifth of a 7-workshop interactive series that takes us through the growing season month-by-month. Wondering about the best way to prune those wild tomato plants? Curious about how much compost is safe to add near your plants at this season? We’ll cover this and more, with pre-recorded content and a 1.5 hour live discussion call on all things garden maintenance!

Now that our crops are growing, we may start to notice that we are not alone in the garden. Many critters such as insects, moles, deer, beetles, slugs, and household pets are also enjoying our garden. Many of these visitors are actually beneficial for your garden, some can devastate your crops, and all of them have an important role to play in Nature.
In Amritaculture, we try to stay attuned to Nature and loving towards all living creatures — so how do we cultivate balance and make sure we get to harvest time successfully? Let's ask questions and learn from each other and our panel of experienced gardeners to become more and more harmonious and successful cultivators!
